There are many well-maintained public gardens, golf courses, museums, and picnic grounds. There are also miles and miles of gorgeous hiking trails. The parks and recreational services are courtesy of the Winfield Park District.  You will find one of the oldest taverns in the Chicago Suburbs, John’s Restaurant and Tavern. It was founded in 1921 by John Karkowski, who was integral to the economic and political development of the village.

Rezenerate Nano Facial

Rezenerate is an award-winning skincare technology that is safe, pain free, non-invasive alternative to microneedling. There is no involved skin puncturing and no downtime needed to get the full benefits that is a healthier, tighter, glowing, youthfully radiant skin.

This advanced skin care treatment regimen includes a thorough cleanse, exfoliation, rezenerate, calming mask and aftercare.

Dermafile Skin Polishing and Resurfacing Facial

This is a precision facial polishing tool made from stainless steel and finely crushed cosmetic diamonds. The treatment is designed to instantly balance the tone and texture of your skin and at the same time stimulate collagen production in order to better improve its strength and condition.

Chinese Cupping

This ancient healing method is used to reduce stress, get rid of stiffness, relieve chronic tension, muscle cramps and even reduce scar tissues from injuries.   During the treatment, specially designed silicone cups and glass cups are applied to the skin and a suction is formed by removing the air from within the cup.

Chakra Harmony Massage

Chakra balancing works by opening the balance and energy centers that may have closed or have lost its balance. This calls for a full body massage using essential oils, crystal stone placements, sound therapy and subtle energy work.  The treatment lets your body and mind achieve a balanced, centered state that is “open” to greater awareness.

Achieve beauty, wellness and rejuvenation of your mind, body and soul only at Viride Wellness Spa.

It was in 1884 that the Village of Winfield first attempted to incorporate as a village under the name “Frederick Park.” However, this was not to be as the community did not yet have the required 300 residents in order to achieve incorporation.  It was only in 1921 that the town finally had a resident count of 310 people that they were able to achieve this.  The earliest settlers were Erastus and Jude P Gray who settled in Winfield back in 1832. At the time, the community was known as Gary’s Mill and later Fredericksburg, due to an abundance of German settlers. Prior to 1850, most people that settled were from New England but by 1860 almost half of the town’s residents were from Germany and Alsace-Lorraine.
